I like to wait until I'm really thirsty and my mom is watching TV, then I drink lots of water as loudly as possible. I think they like it when I do this. |

| Christmas |

I spent Christmas locked in a cage at the vet's office. My mom went away for what seemed like months - she says it was only 7 days. It was pretty boring but then a lady with a mustache picked me up and took me home. Mom came home later that night and brought me some presents. Here's what I got:
Pressed Rawhide Bone - buried in backyard
Pink Fleece Pig - buried in backyard
Freeze-dried Doggy Ice Cream - kinda chalky but tasty
Basted Beef Bone - buried in backyard
Supposedly there's another pressed rawhide bone and a 'Bacon & Eggs' bone somewhere but mom won't give them to me. It's a shame cause I've got the perfect place for them. |

| About My Knee |

I've had some bad luck with my leg for the past 6 weeks. In October I went for a bath and came back with a busted knee. I've had two surgeries and way too many trips to the vet now and hopefully it's fixed. My mom has written a lot about the whole thing here. There are lots of photos of my knee there too - some of them are kinda gross looking though. I hope my fur grows back soon because my butt is cold! I'm going to go take some more pain pills and try to go back to sleep now. |

This morning I found a yummy sock and took it under the bed. portia tried to steal it, but I kept it from her and barked and growled enough that I don't think she'll try that again. After that, mom put me in the kennel and then she and Portia went outside. They didn't leave, they were in the yard. I sat in my kennel and barked for an hour while they came in and out and made loud noises in the yard. Then mom let me out of the kennel and I went outside. The sky was sunny and it wasn't raining anywhere else in the yard, except for on my back. No matter where I walked, it rained on me. I don't know much about weather, but it seemed strange. Portia was laughing, but I'm not sure why. Since I was wet, they locked me outside. After another hour, they let me in. I'm gonna take a nap now. |

| What I Did Today |

I slept a lot today. I licked Mico's butt for a while. Then I drank water for about 5 minutes straight, very loudly, hoping to bother the humans. It worked. Mom and portia went out for a while and I went into my kennel where I ate my treats. I wonder if it's time for my bread treat yet. |
